Understanding Shaded Cream (Cinnamon) Puppies
We would like to ensure that people are aware of the shaded cream colour of which there are many puppies who have this particular coat. The shaded gene also shows up in the cinnamon coloured coats. Notice in the picture below the colour of Moose (left) ; he is almost fully cream, with a darker nose, eyes, ears, and the tip of his tail.
Moose's Transformation
When Moose was a baby, he appeared almost fully brown with a dominant cream undercoat. With age, the brown shading faded away, giving way to the cream coat. This process can easily span over 1 year.
Puppy Coat Color Changes
The shaded cream and shaded cinnamon puppies will gradually lose their shading to expose their undercoat at varying levels. This process leads to a delightful surprise and uniqueness to each puppy's coat as they reach maturity.
